About Me
Hey! My name is Emil and I am 32 years old. I live in Stockholm and work as a sond designer for a computer game company.
I see myself as a kind of free spirit and I love to just wake up to a brand new day and not knowing what it has in store for you.
I have a small apartment outside of Stockholm that I re-decorated to the point where there's almost too much going on - no wall looks the same more or less - but I love it!
I love to create stuff, be it music, sound, decorating or DIY projects. Being creative is probably the most important thing in my life. And I like to sleep. Sleep is good!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couch surfing to meet new people and get great experiences! I moved to Stockholm for the job and I find it a bit hard to meet new friends outside of work even though I consider myself a social guy. I've been thinking of trying couch surfing for a while and now with a new year there's new opportunities!

Music, Movies, and Books
I grew up as a metal head, but with age came a greatly expanded array of different music styles. I love singer songwriter-ish music like Mumford and sons. Also love love some me some emo-punkrock once in a while, like Blink182 or Fallout boy. Coheed and Cambria is my all time favorite band, if you've ever heard of them!
Book-wise, I love Stephen King and for many years tried to keep up with reading all his novels. Until I failed. Insomnia and It are two of my favorite King novels.
I try to read the classics as well. Loved "The old man and the sea", but got a bit confused reading "On the Road", and even more confused reading "The Idiot".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I installed my new kitchen from scratch, without knowing anything about kitchen-building. Might not sound amazing but it was, to me. Literally a miracle that it is still operational!
Teach, Learn, Share
I was a guitar teacher once, I can teach you to play Stairway to heaven! And I was a table tennis instructor! I could teach you how to ping pong like a god.
I would love to learn more French, I studied it for many years in school but haven't kept it alive since. Also, just learning about new people is interesting.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a decent poker player, but I could let you win. Also, I used to sing tenor voice in a men's choir so I could, if heavily persuaded, sing some classic Swedish spring greeting songs for you in a high pitch.
Otherwise I think I am pretty social, but independent and flexible.
