ABOUT ME

I am a hybrid Italian-American girl interested in design and people. In many ways this interest bursted out through my personal education: I love to draw, to sew clothes, to imagine new things between people by means of an emotional approach to technology and artefacts.
I have always adored to travel, and am trying to find every possible way to match this interest with my profession, although travelling just for leisure and inspiration is also really important.
I studied Spanish and Portuguese for the love of them and am self teaching myself Mandarin and Dutch (somewhat chaotic..).
My pursue is an exciting and surprising adventure while in this world, day by day..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy cooking a lot, especially from scratch and mixing together different culinary inspirations: I love spices and fresh fruit and vegetables, and make good pasta of any kind when it comes to be proudly Italian.
I can brainstorm for any creative idea that wants to come in the world and can give some tips and tricks about sewing, a passion I try to keep alive always. Chatting and cleaning after myself are musts. As soon as I have a more permanent accommodation I will be able to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Ireland with my friend Marcela, and it was a wonderful first experience for me! I also went to Denmark and Palo Alto. All wonderful experiences.
The people were great, and hospitality was cozy in all the three houses we went. I loved sharing ideas about the world and cooking together was soo interesting: a mix of italian french and mexican cuisine:)
And also sharing tips about sewing with a great artist in Limerick was a great thing!

Interests

Learning from other cultures in any possible way: through art, food, design, language, movies..
I spend my time exploring cultural diversity through the amazing group of friends in my University, by talking, cooking, hanging out and designing with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I arrived to the top of Cachoeira da Fumaça on summer 2012 in Chapada Diamantina, Brasil.
The surrounding landscape was absolutely STUNNING. I really had no desire to leave that place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to exchange experiences of any kind. I have run many cooking workshops, experimenting with Italian cuisine across the world :) I also love to sew, draw and I try to join creative ventures of that kind as much as possible, Went to learn weaving in Peru.

I can teach graphic design, people's face portraits, Italian language and cuisine, Spanish, English etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation about the world, about cultures and art, design, technology, the past present and future of humanity.

I can cook and would be delighted to do so. I'm happy to cook Italian, Thai, Mexican and all the mixes in between.
