About Me

I am interning as a journalist at a danish TV production company as part of my education at the Danish School of Media and Journalism where I am taking a bachelor of Journalism.
On the side I record podcasts and take photos with my camera. I am also active in the Journalism Union of Denmark where I am chairperson for the student union in Aarhus.
Whenever Liverpool F.C. is playing you will probably find me down at the local supporters pub singing along to all the chants and songs. I also go to the local football matches to watch games.
I am generally interested in the world around me, be it the people, cultures or politics. Which is also why I love travelling and enjoy Couchsurfing as a platform.
Other than that I exploring foods of the world and a good glass of wine (or 5 i enjoyable company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find Couchsurfing to be the absolute best way of experiencing new cultures. You get to not just be a normal tourist but actual get a chance to get to know people from all over the world.
Also as someone on a student budget it is a great way to meet and experience other cultures by inviting them into your home or visiting others when travelling.

Interests

I find the meeting and interaction between people to be extremely interesting, which is also why I study journalism. Other than that my interests are very broad, from sports to politics to games to culture and travel.
I also love a good glass of wine or a local beer and some interesting (local) food. I find that when one of those things are involved you tend to meet new people and make new friends

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most kinds of music, when I put on my own music it goes a lot by my mood. It can be anything from classics like Elvis, Beatles or Eagles, classic rock, soft rock, RnB or pop.
I don't get to do a lot of reading since I am rarely sat down in a quiet spot with the time it takes to read. But when I do its anything from fantasy to biographies, books on politics or science. Lately I have also been listening to a few audiobooks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a volunteer at Ungdsomøen I took the initiative to make a campaign against lonelyness among young people around new years eve. The concept was that people would write letters to young people who felt lonely. The campaign got on national danish television and in one of the largest Copenhagen radio stations. It reached around 30.000 people on social media and produced hundres of letters for young people all over Denmark.

Teach, Learn, Share

I share danish culture and history, stories from my life, a good drink, wine or beer, some danish cooking or advice about travelling in Denmark.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In general I share good conversation and stories I've gathered through different jobs, travels and through being in the world of journalism. I will happily cook some food, even danish if you like, go for a beer, drink or glass of wine and if possible I drink a gift from Denmark to show you some danish food/drinks/snacks.
