Hello,

I'm Emily from Cornwall (a beautiful county in the SW of England) new to couch surfing and travelling through South and Central America before returning back the UK via California. I've just finished working on a 3 month film project that has taken us through Europe and sailing for two months across the Atlantic, arriving in Montevideo Uruguay and am now looking to explore some of this amazing continent for the first time.

I care a lot about good connections and love meeting new people, sharing stories and learning about new cultures (and languages, my Spanish is basic but improving slowly!) I'm a big nature/beach beach lover as I grew up by the sea, but have lived in London for 8 years working in a variety of different fields, so know how much cities have to offer if you listen to the right (local) advice.

Currently reading: The Northern Lights trilogy (Philip Pullman). Mostly interested in non-fiction around the subjects of social psychology and nature.

Favourite films: Amelie, Shawshank Redemption, Avatar.

Organised a Christmas dinner for 180 folks living on the street in east London.

Teach, Learn, Share

Personal growth and wellness are some of my favourite topics so I am very happy to share tips and guidance on strength and fitness training as well as talk about big life topics (I'm very empathetic with a good listening ear).

I love to run so if you fancy a gentle morning jog (and/or workout) followed by coffee, I'm definitely keen!
