About Me

“Develop an interest in life as you see it; the people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.”

-Henry Miller

I like humans, they are my favorite species. Example: whoopie cushion, Frank Zappa, Ice cream, rollercoasters, funk music, etc...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love hanging out with people outside of my culture! Also: I am in Piedmont in Northern Italy and have just finished working summer-camps to help kids learn English. I have been doing this since June, and living with Italian host families since then. I am getting to Denmark by August 5th to visit a good friend before I go back to the states. I don't have a lot of money to spend, but that's okay because all I really want to do is drink cheap beer, and hang out with fun people from the countries I visit. Also want to find out what it's like to go to Metal shows in Europe.

Interests

This is my first time using the couchsurfing website, but I have "couchsurfed" before while on a road trip with a friend of mine. Hanging out with people we met along the way was the best part by far.

Music, Movies, and Books

Been listening to a lot of The Born Ruffians and Bass Drum of Death lately. I love Henry Miller.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made a journey from Cleveland to Rome on my own, traversed Italian public transportation, and got to see Shellac play in June. I learned enough Italian to converse with my mom's cousin who lives in Rome who knows no English.

Teach, Learn, Share

I bought a film camera that has the ability to take double exposures so I want to use the rest of my film! SO if you know any cool spots to see, hike to, I am sure I will appreciate the beauty! I also have a Haruki Murakami book with me so I can chill out and read as well, I am a very low maintenance guest =]

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know a really great card game called Scala Quaranta. I also have a mini guitar, and stories. =]

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Italy, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
