About Me

Hello!

I am a 27 year old currently travelling in South America with big plans to wander the world for a while. Looking to meet some lovely people along the way and see some exciting stuff!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be travelling for hopefully a couple of years and would love to take the time to get to know a place whilst I am there. Meeting people who live there seems like much the best way to do that!

Interests

* Cooking - and I love to learn new things from people and places I visit.
* Sports - the crazier the better. I have skiied, sort-of-snowboarded, ridden horses, done some hillwalking/mountaineering, canoed, sailed, wake-boarded etc. Not that sure about things like Bungee jumping but I might be persuaded to skydive.
* I love the snow and anything cold.
* I also love the beach and being around water.
* Not a lot is better than chilling in a hammock with a good book and a cocktail too.
* I'm also interested in the history of a place; I love any and all animals and natural history museums are generally my favourite; I like politics and as an ex-Philosophy student I love a good debate with people about everything and anything.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love live music in chilled settings. Not a big concert-goer. Something a bit more low key is more my style.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in a monkey sanctuary when I was in South Africa a couple of years ago and that was incredible. There was even a monkey called Emily.
Just got back from a trip to the Galapagos... need I say more?

Teach, Learn, Share

I've done two degrees and I'm toying with going back to University again so clearly I love to learn! If you can teach me anything from a few useful sayings in the local language to how to juggle or how to make the perfect local dish I would love it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Very happy to help in any way I can. Maybe mutual language lessons or I can do some cooking for you whilst I stay? I'm also pretty good at Tetris so I could be persuaded to share my skills for that if you're lucky...
