About Me
Hi!
I am studying geoscience at UT Austin, originally from Wales, UK.
I've had some amazing experiences, and can't wait for many more!
Currently moving around!
I enjoy exploring the outdoors (hiking, kayaking/canoeing, snorkeling) whether as a multi-day hike or a 30minute walk around neighbouring areas - I just love being out there! As a true welshie I don't mind a bit of rain either ;) I've also played non-contact ice hockey, rugby and dabbled in a few other sports (from hockey to ballroom dancing). saying that, I'm also quite happy snuggled up watching a film, gaming or playing board games!
I'm passionate about environmental issues and for this reason I now eat veggie.
My long-term goal in life is to have a dog (s)
I like a glass or four of wine (partial to shiraz), beer is good too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - pretty eclectic: folky/acoustic, motown/groovy, 80s, angsty "indie rock" (think anywhere from arctic monkeys to florence welch), and some occasional popular house as background
Movies - Marvel, Lord of the Rings, I like kooky brit films and dark humour (think Taikia Waititi's "What we do in the shadows")
Books - Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, Shantaram,
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteer Teaching, Played rugby at Twickenham stadium, moved across the Atlantic, almost any time I'm out of my comfort zone or I've taken the leap of faith, it's been amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn about other peoples perspectives on anything, I'm just here to learn about people & cultures respectfully :)
any Americans out there need to prep me for 5 years in the US! (help!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I make amazing roast potatoes which is my mum's secret recipe, happy to show off some veggie/vegan cooking too!
Can chat about UK pop culture, sport (Rugby world cup?), and anything else really! Couchsurfing has taught me to be much more open, but I'm not an over-sharer!
Would love to share some experiences, happiness and food (cruical), and I'll be so so grateful!
