Overview
About Me
I'm a student studying Archaeology in Seattle. I volunteer with the National Parks, and am enthusiastic about history. I'm also a movie buff!! This last year I watched over 250 movies, particularly Hong Kong action movies. I commit to my hobbies: I've travelled to Switzerland with Girl Scouts and to South Korea with handbells, and to Turkey for an archaeology dig.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Two reasons! First, as a student, sometimes money really can buy happiness: free is pure joy.
More importantly, traveling and experiencing are two different things. In my trips, I've learned that to get to know a place, you need to get to know the locals! No trip is worth it if you don't meet new faces along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movies are Pitch Black, Moonlight, Star Wars and The Fast and the Furious. I'll watch absolutely anything. I try to go to the theater once a week and see whichever sci-fi or action movie is out.
To be transparent: I LOVE Britney Spears. The peak of pop music was 2008.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Archaeology dig in Turkey! I was able to live in a rural village in Anatolia for a month this last summer as we dug up a mound site. I met so many people, started picking up the language, and even uncovered an Iron Age mudbrick structure.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to talk about history, archaeology, current events and movies. I'm always down to hear and share stories!
