About Me
Hey, I'm Emily: I write, I listen, I ponder. I also work in the adventure tourism sector, and spend my off-seasons exploring my beautiful home province of British Columbia by foot, bike, and car.
I adore meeting new people and sharing life with them, but I also love alone time. My hobbies include snowboarding, yoga, Pilates, cycling, crochet, and reading. I love the forest, I love the beach, I love the mountains: I'm happy to be, wherever I am.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is eclectic: right now I'm going through a blues/folk/country rock era. I also appreciate 90s r&b, surf rock, reggae, and bedroom pop.
Favourite book has to be One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. That, and The Fall by Albert Camus.
Used to be a bit of a film buff, but my all time favourite movie is Napoleon Dynamite. Gosh!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I raised and showed two pigs, Mavis and Francis, for a season when I was 17. Pretty fun!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English and discuss philosophy. I have experience with photography, graphic design, and copywriting, and I'd love to improve my portfolio. I am very into fibre arts, so if you'd like to learn how to knit, crochet, weave, or spin, card, wash, or dye wool, I'd love to teach you!
I am open to learning anything you have to teach: music, construction, cooking. I love nothing more than sharing a deep conversation over a thoughtfully-prepared meal.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A delicious meal and lovely conversation! Also happy to help out with any writing, marketing, or graphic design projects you're working on.
