关于我

I am a college student at Valencia College - seeking my Bachelor's in Nursing through UCF. I'd like to end up travel nursing as a young adult, specializing in labor and delivery. Once I am ready to settle down and start a family, I'd like to be a midwife and hopefully open my own natural birthing center. I love to travel and frequent music festivals at The Spirit of the Suwannee in Live Oak, FL.

Currently: planning a winter vacation (12/15/15 - 1/4/16) with one of my best friends, Sarah. We are traveling from the East coast to the West coast in a little under a month's time. Our plan is to travel by bus, train and plane where each travel option is cheapest and most logical. We have finished paying for our transportation which is a hefty sum in total (hence why we're on CS) and we're now just trying to finalize where we'll be staying in each city we visit.

P.S. I wouldn't have requested to stay with you without reading your profile to the fullest extent. If you're reading this because I requested your "couch" it's because you're a cool person with cool travel experience (whether its surfing or hosting) and you come off as approachable and fun :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Copied and pasted from my Facebook; posted the day after I spontaneously saw The Grateful Dead's last show (7/5/2015)!

Are y'all ready to hear about my epic awesome adventure to see the greatest band on earth, The Grateful Dead?! I woke up yesterday without the slightest clue I'd be dancing the night away with new friends and a full heart. It started with my aunt telling us over lunch about my uncle being able to snag a $60 ticket the day of the July 4th show which obviously peaked my interest. Before coming to Chicago to visit friends and family, my dad and I tried to get tickets a few times which led to disappointment because those opportunities fell through. After realizing chasing the dream was actually feasible, my dad called up his friends from way back, Tim and Janet Devitt who already had tickets to the show, and asked if I could tag along in hopes of finding a ticket at the venue. Sure enough after holding my sign and yelling pleas for a ticket for about an hour, I scored one for $80! While searching for one, I got filmed for the documentary they'll be putting out and even talked to a student writing her dissertation on The Dead. Perusing through Shakedown Street was a new experience in itself and the crowd's energy could not be matched. My seat was behind the stage on the third tier but I wanted to press my luck and tried to get down to the floor. After hanging out around the security at the stairs for 10 minutes or so, a happy stranger let me borrow his lanyard to get banded for the floor. I made my way up to about 40 feet from the stage and made some amazing friends with those around me. I told myself at Drums I would go to find Tim and Janet and that took about 30 minutes of me getting turned around and lost, going from the floor all the way to the fourth tier. As I walked back into the venue from the halls, I found myself singing my tattoo lyric from Days Between, "learn and love and grow" with a huge smile on my face. Nothing beats the experience I had yesterday! I can truly say if I died tomorrow, I'd be dying fulfilled and happy. Thanks Tim and Janet for showing me a good time and thank you to the universe for helping the stars align for me in the perfect constellation!

My friend Sarah and I are looking to make the most out of our trip. It may be exhausting but we don't want to leave one of the cities on our itinerary feeling like we did not explore and appreciate it to our best ability. We love spending time with nature and but we also like to go out and have a good time - we'll be pros at befriending strangers by the end of this trip, I'm sure. Sarah is an artist and plans on pursuing a project similar to "Humans of New York;" she'd like to sketch as many people as possible that help make our trip a unique experience while writing a small summary about them and the circumstance of which we've met. I plan to take on vlogging for our trip - putting together videos of the different cities we visit and our travel along the way; not only for personal keepsake but to share with family and friends.
