I’ve just finished 2 months backpacking around northern India and am headed to Cambodia for a couple more months island hoping for a proper holiday! I’m hoping to spend my time snorkelling, practicing my poi, and drenching my soul in as many sunset as I can.

I’ve recently decided to take an online course about holistic (hippie) nutrition and so that means taking a break from Asia to come finish my working holiday visa in Tasmania saving up for the tuition. Now I’ve decided to come to my last state I haven’t visited, I can’t wait to spend the summer surfing, studying, and working (hopefully in a cute cafe run by kind people).

After growing up on Vancouver Island I started my travels eight years ago by working all over Canada between trips to Europe. I've spent the past three years grazing around Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Canada, the States, Caribbean, and most recently India. Most of my time has been dedicated to laying on the sandiest of beaches, wandering through forests of all kinds, playing with (and running from) so many animals, dancing to all sorts of live music, and eating as much delicious (veggie) food I can get my hands on.

It might sound like all I can say about myself is to list my travels but for me they define me, each trip is another piece of the puzzle of myself that I am trying to solve and if you’re a traveller too I’m sure you can understand where I’m coming from.

I've stayed at lots of couchsurfers but we always used my boyfriends account at the time so all the references went to him! He truly is my better half.

My music taste varies greatly! On a long bus journey I’ll cheese it up with some John Butler or Ziggy Alberts or Ben Howard, if I want to spin my poi maybe I’ll turn to some some bassy electronic music like clozee or opiuo. I just like music that lifts me up and makes my heart feel happy.

I would love to say I read a lot but honestly I just carry the same book around rereading the page I fell asleep on the day before.

This is more of something that happened to me but recently in Thailand I went wandering through the jungle with some friends to a locals waterfall and after swimming and hopping up onto a rock I was watching a friend jump off and I looked down and there was a huge bright green snake all the way across my body! Afterwards we watched it slither up the wall and they told me it was probably a viper! Since then I've gained and conquered a fear of snakes.

I am about to enrol in an online course called the diploma of natural nutrition! Long term goal is to be a dietician but as it’s been a long time since I’ve studied I can’t wait to dip my toes into an easier course. Also hopefully it’ll mean not having to work in restaurants anymore!

I’m also trying to learn French through Duolingo but I would love to move to France to get fluent.. maybe my next country to live in!
