My family moved around several times while I grew up, so I guess traveling began to take on a new meaning for me. I've been in Virginia for the last five years where I just graduated from James Madison University, so I'm starting to
feel that need to look around new places again and see what's out there. Fingers crossed that I'll be making bigger trips to Mexico or South America soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is one of the best ways to find unique experiences and conversations with people you would otherwise have never met. It definitely beats the stock hotel room that just gets you from one place to the next without feeling like you've really been in the place you're visiting. Totally on board.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite (and first time solo) trip I ever took was to take my bike down the Outer Banks for my college spring break a few years back. I came across many challenges - yes, including ending up in the ER - but it was probably the most empowering thing I had ever decided to do at that point. I met so many incredible people that had so much to talk about and be proud of, and I feel richer for having met them.
