ABOUT ME
I'm a recent graduate from Warren Wilson College who loves traveling to globe and exploring new places. I studied in northern India for 4 months and am dreaming of more adventures in South Asia in the near future! I have a green thumb and therefore love to garden and have worked on a variety of vegetable, livestock, and dairy goat farms. Community service has been a big part of my life and I love working with non-profits who are trying to create a more sustainable and just food system. I'm an easy-going lady who loves a good meal with friends, sharing stories, hiking, biking, yoga, reading, good music, learning new things.
PHILOSOPHY
Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big Barbara Kingsolver fan. I love folk, indie rock, jazz, hip-hop, soul, bluegrass, and old-time music. Some of my favorite artists are Anais Mitchell, Joni Mitchell, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Fugees, Otis Redding...
I love comedy shows like Arrested Development and Flight of the Concords as well as serious movies like Amelie and The Fall.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After high school I spent a year as an education volunteer with Heifer International at the Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas. It was a life-changing experience where I met some incredible life-long friends and developed a passion for sustainable agriculture and community development. My favorite daily activities included milking (and playing with) goats, teaching kids about growing their own food, making goat cheese, and interacting with volunteers from around the world.
As a junior in college I studied in India for 4 months with SIT's program in Sustainable Development and Social Change. I lived with an incredible host family in Jaipur and traveled to various cities with other students in my program. I spent a month in Ranikhet where I conducted an independent research project on women's traditional roles in agriculture. I fell in love with India--the culture, food, people--and would love to return some day.
