Hi, I’m Emily! A solo traveling epidemiologist turned digital nomad. I quit my job to travel the world full-time; exploring new places, eating new foods, and making new connections. I currently create travel content via social media platforms and blogging. My content aims at helping women solo travel on a budget and find the confidence to do things alone.

I worked in a hospital for 4 years after my Master's degree, researching mental health among the veteran population. During this time I was also a house mother of a sorority and worked as a certified birth and postpartum doula. The pandemic made me realize how important travel is to me, so I decided to take a year off to travel the world once it was safe to do so. Now with my content creation projects, I am hoping to travel as long as possible, while sharing all I do and learn with my community.

I am on couch surfing to form more of a connection with the local community when I travel. In the past, I have mostly stayed in hostels or done volunteer opportunities to keep costs down and meet others. I recently interviewed a girl on my Instagram who loved couch surfing and found it safe as a solo female traveler. I would love to connect with like minded travelers, give back any way that I can, and share my experience doing so.

-Travel obsessed (obviously!) I have traveled to over 20 countries and am excited to have the freedom to travel slower and more intentionally
-I am now a Digital creator, so I love meeting others who understand creation, marketing, and business through social media.
-My brain is always going, so I love to practice yoga, meditation, hiking, and dance to bring myself back to the moment. And get my energy out if it is active!
-I am an advocate for solo female travel and for women feeling empowered to do things on their own.
