ABOUT ME

We're two 20-something soul sisters, one American (Emily, left) and one Australian (Shay, right), who have been bitten by the travel bug and are starting our first joint adventure in Canada. Both of us are avid lovers of the written word, and with that comes a zest for life and new experiences, along with a passion for engaging conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

We're both pretty spiritual, Shay a little more so than myself, and try to spread positivity wherever we go. We live life to the fullest and believe you get what you put out into the world, so we try to only put out kindness and see everything with an open mind.

For now we're traveling, but we definitely plan on hosting as soon as we're settled.

There aren't words for how incredible everyone has been so far. We can't wait to pay it forward.

Neither of us are the partying type, and instead prefer to have movie nights, take walks, and enjoy good food and company. Oh, and laughter. We like to laugh.
Writing plays a big part in our lives, along with pretty much anything else creative and fun. We're easy-going and always up for trying out new activities.

I'm not sure what we'd be able to teach in regards to an actual skill or hobby, but Shay does have an ability to teach people self-confidence without even trying, and I can show people it's okay to laugh at yourself and not take everything so seriously. We'd love to learn snow sports, any form of art we've never tried, etc.. We're open to learning whatever our fellow Couchsurfers have to share.
