About Me
“We are all starved for the glory of God, not self. No one goes to the Grand Canyon to increase self-esteem. Why do we go? Because there is greater healing for the soul in beholding splendor than there is in beholding self.” — John Piper. I am an active person who enjoys going outside and enjoying nature. I hike, bike and take longs walks. When visiting cities I will usually walk everywhere, covering many many km’s, and stopping at things that appear interesting throughout the day. Grew up in Calgary, but have been in Vancouver for the past 5 years for uni and consider that home. I am studying Civil Engineering at UBC. My family also lived in Norway for half a year and Houston for 5. I have been a water bug my whole life and currently play underwater hockey competitively (yes, you read that right), and have been lucky enough to represent Canada at international tournaments around the world. Teach, Learn, Share
Exchange life stories/experiences - One of life’s greatest joys is learning about events and experiences that have formed people’s life perspectives.
If something is broken, I might be able to figure out how to fix it... and if I can’t, I will have enjoyed trying to figure out how to
What I Can Share with Hosts
For some reason I enjoy washing dishes... my parting gift to you is a clean kitchen. I love a good chat and a cup of tea. I’d consider myself a clean and tidy person. I’d be respectful of your home :) And finally, get the satisfaction of having the worlds second largest country turn orange on your map :p
