CURRENT MISSION
To give back to the Couchsurfing community!
ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Emily and I'm a New Yorker currently living in Sacramento (the city of trees!) Prior to Sac, I lived in Spain for two years and hopped around central America before moving back to the States. I share my apartment with a fellow New Yorker (well, a Turkish/Long Island blend) and we would love to open our home to travelers coming through the city. We've both received great generoisty in our own travels and we certainly know the sometime challenging but always rewarding life of a nomad.
Rose and I love to learn from others, share meals and stories, and take on new adventures as they arise. Now that I'm settled in, I am working to be much more responsive to requests (as of November 2017) so please feel free to message me!
PHILOSOPHY
Give as much as you can without asking in return. Listen. Take a breath to enjoy the silence at least once a day. Life is classroom.

Music, Movies, and Books
Out of the three, I'm most drawn to music. Anything that soothes the soul or I can dance around to. From Frank Sinatra, to James Taylor, Jay Z, Carlos Vives, Mandolin Orange, to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, N*Sync to the Beatles. And everything from the 90's, great decade.
Currently reading East of Eden and Malcolm Gladwell?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ran a 53km mountain race with Spanish military men, peed next to a naked 80 year-old woman in India, spoke in front of 15,000 people, jumped out of a plane, and hopefully more amazingly terrifying beautiful fantastic things to come.
