Hello! My partner and I are in New Zealand on a working holiday visa and are extremely excited to explore all that the North and South Islands have to offer. I personally enjoy hiking, boogey-boarding, biking, cooking, trying new foods, and attending community events.

Music: Currently revisiting an angsty music phase (I.e., Avril Lavigne, MGK, Fiona Apple, Hole, etc). I also enjoy Dolly Parton, Phoebe Bridges, and Imogen Heap. I listen to podcasts more often than I listen to music. I’m currently making my way through Girls Next Level (going through a Playboy history phase), Maintenance Phase, and The Savage Lovecast.
Movies: Lord of the Rings, 50 First Dates (anything with Drew Barrymore), Anything that Quentin Tarantino makes (or is Tarantino adjacent)
Books: Roxanne Gay novels, Caste, Lord of the Rings, Braiding Sweetgrass, Come as You Are.

The most rewarding hike that I have done (thus far) has been to Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon. I worked there in tourism for 4 months and it changed my life. I went on a solo roadtrip from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest and met a lot of amazing people using this app! I hiked almost every day, explored new cities, and even found my next home. ☺️

I am easily conversed with and have a lot of stories from my travels to share! I used to work in national parks and I have done a decent amount of hikes, so I can make suggestions. I also enjoy cooking, and can make something yummy out of just about anything!
