About Me

Hi! I am a recent college grad and soon-to-be medical student who has spent my last year working at a health and development NGO called the Comprehensive Rural Health Project in Jamkhed, India. This experience enabled me to travel and discover places in the world I never thought I'd go, and it has made me so excited to continue traveling and discovering! I am really easygoing and always up for a new adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite part of traveling is meeting new people and experiencing new cultures around the world. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to meet local people in new places I am excited to explore, so I would really like the opportunity to join new communities in this way.

Interests

Reading, running, soccer (my favorite sport to play and watch!), hiking, coffee, good food, good conversation, and learning new things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decided to move to India for a year on a week's notice. Met President Obama in the White House in 2010. Discovered a hidden Buddhist monastery in a Thai jungle near Chiang Mai while hiking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning to cook new foods local to where I am visiting, so I have some good recipes to share and am always looking to learn more!

I like learning new skills, sports, and pretty much anything. If there is something you are really passionate about, I'd like to learn more about it!

I also really enjoy learning about different people and the world through conversations about their experiences and opinions. From a casual chats to talking late into the night, these conversations make life interesting! It's the best way to learn about people and the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

One of my favorite things to do when I travel is learn to cook local foods. I can share great food from India, Kenya, and Thailand.
