Hi, my name is Emily, I'm 18 yo and from Munich. I'm currently doing a gap year trip. In New Zealand atm.

I am a little shy when I first meet people, but if we click and I feel I can trust you I warm up very quickly. I love having endless conversations in the evening over wine and cigarettes about travelling, cultures, people, languages, movies, TV shows, art, philosophy, psychology, politics or anything really. It doesn't really matter that much what you're talking about if you're talking to interesting people.

If you are racist, homophobic or discriminate against any human being please don't accept my request, I'd rather stay in a hostel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to stay with local people when travelling because you are way closer to country and culture that way. They obviously know the best spots in the area and I'd rather see the locals favourites instead of overcrowded tourist attractions. Also one thing I learned from traveling so far, is that the most valuable memories are the ones you share with the people you meet. And what better way to meet people than this? I'm pretty new to couchsurfing, but I love the ideology behind it. I would love to do it more and can't wait until I can host myself! (I'm still living with my parents and they are very private people.)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My playlist is a rollercoaster, and I was told many times that my taste in music is terrible, but to each their own
Books: too many, but atm I'm reading The Goldfinch
Movies: just watched Joker and am obsessed with it, Fight Club, Kings Speech, Memoirs of a Geisha, anything by Quentin Tarantino or Tim Burton, anything with Cate Blanchett, extremely loud and incredibly close, there are many many more and movies is one of my favourite subjects to talk about!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm polite and I respect peoples privacy and the rules they have in their home. I also love having conversations with people from all over the world if the interest is mutual :) I'm clean and don't mind helping around the house as thanks for your generosity and hospitality. Also I love drawing so if time allows it I could draw a portrait of you if you want.
