About Me

Hello! Currently residing in Phoenix, AZ with my partner and two cats (Mimolette and Colby Jack). Since working full-time as an aerospace design engineer, it's been a little tougher to travel like before. However, I have had the chance to host a few times and just love meeting new people. I also love living in Phoenix, so if you need any suggestions I am happy to share!

I grew up between Tokyo and Houston. They are both my childhood homes. Moved to Austin, Texas for university. Studied for a semester in Paris and had the freedom for the first time to travel. Realized that I don't care as much as I thought about visiting places as much as I love meeting people from different backgrounds. Sounds tacky, but true.
I do own two cats, so if you are allergic, you can pop a Zyrtec (I have some you can have) or you’ll have to find somewhere else to stay unfortunately :/ If you'd like to stay with me, please start your message by telling me what your favorite word is. Doesn't have to be an English word. If you want to work on your English and/or Japanese, I can help! And if you speak French, I would love to practice my conversational French with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people. I think it's important to listen to stories, hear different opinions and mindsets, learn something new. I think that's the best part of traveling. The world wouldn't be fascinating without the people in it.

Interests

Food. I pride myself on being not picky, so if you can challenge that, I will gladly take you up on the challenge. One of my favorite things to do is sing. At one point in my life I only sang opera in the shower. My father hated it. I also go bouldering a couple times a week, but not very good at it. I go to a bouldering gym around here, so if you’re interested, come with me!
