Hi, my name is Emily!

I am a 22 year old Tourism and Hospitality Management student in Melbourne, Australia and I love traveling! I am only at the beginning of hopefully a life time full of travel adventures but I am so excited to see where the world takes me. From years of working in hotels, I get to meet so many different kinds of people with different cultures, backgrounds and so many stories to tell about their travels which is the most exciting and motivating thing about what I do.

Aside from that I spend the rest of my time planning where I want to travel next, yoga and meditation, studying food and wine and spending time with friends and family.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I feel when I travel I will have better opportunities to immerse myself in the culture of where I am visiting. Connecting with locals in my opinion is the best way to truely expereince a place and I hope once I settle down at home I will be able to return the favour by becoming a Couchsurfing host and showing travellers what Melbourne is all about.

The next big adventure my Fiancé and I plan to embark on is a 7 month trip through South America starting in Columbia traveling through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. There is so much culture in South America which changes amongst every country and with Couchsurfing I can see myself getting a much better experience rather than the four plain walls of a hotel room.
