About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm currently living in my hometown of Auckland in New Zealand. This year I am planning to do a buisness degree at AUT, but hopefully there might be some small trips here & there. I travelled a small amount through Europe for my 21st birthday last year, & loved it - but didn't get to do nearly as much as I wanted to.. so will definitely be back as soon as I can!

PHILOSOPHY

I had previously been working for a company where I worked with elderly members of the community, to help them with daily tasks that become difficult when you lose mobility. I found it so rewarding, & got to meet some amazing people who had lived full & interesting lives. I think it is important to try to make a connection with people even if you think you have nothing in common. There is a Maori saying: He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata! He tangata! He tangata!
Which means, What is the most important thing in the world? It is people! It is people! It is people!

Interests

Most of my free time is spent socializing with friends, I love to be around people & find that when I need lifting up its the company of others that makes me feel better. I love to read books, especially biographies at the moment, and am a serial collector of dvds.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently reading lots of biographies, and just finished Rob Lowe's "Stories I Only Tell My Friends". I've been a Harry Potter lover since I read the first book when I was 7 or 8. My favourite movies are the Lord of the Rings Triology by Peter Jackson, I think part of the reason I am so drawn to them is because I get so proud seeing my beautiful country in them!I watch a lot of TV series, and especially like British comedy. My favourites are Black Books, Gavin & Stacey, The IT Crowd, Friends & a really awesome kiwi show "Go Girls"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked 200+ kms of the Camino de Santiago when I was about 13 with my parents & some family friends. We had an amazing time seeing Spain through small towns & doing our best with very rudimentary Spanish!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom
