About Me
Hello! My name is Em and I am 28 years old from Australia 🐨
I have been a traveller for many years, having covered (almost every!) continent. This year I am doing my second solo trip and decided to travel for one year that has now turned into almost 2 years! So far I have spent 3 months in India (one month doing my yoga teacher training) and two weeks trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal! Next, I went to Europe for 6 months to visit friends (and Couchsurf!) and then worked for 2 months in Albania. Followed by a month in Morocco.
I have just completed my 9 month journey through Central and South America, where I met more beautiful people from the couchsurfing community!
Couchsurfing has honestly been the most enjoyable aspect of my journey and it has truly revolutionised my understanding of what it means to travel. It’s changed the focus of trips I've taken from "attractions" to people, which is the best because people are my favourite. Also what better way is there to explore a place than through the eyes of a local?
I love to cook and engage in early morning yoga sessions, so I would love to take you through a flow if you would be willing! I feel that I am respectful, open, warm and love to engage in a deep conversation! It would be a pleasure to stay with you!
*please note that I am not looking for anything romantic, if you are a host and want to host me because you are looking for something more than friendship, please don’t accept my request, thank you!*
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing as over the past year or so of travelling I have worked out the best way to see a place is through the eyes and ways of a local. Couchsurfing has changed the way I view travelling - less about the places and more about the people I am surrounded by in a place.
I love to try local foods (it’s my other favourite thing to do) so please show me your favourite food spots!
