I try to travel somewhere new every six months, and this year I have decided to trade my skis in for a surf board and gorge myself with coconuts and mangos on the Big Island of Hawaii! I have traveled all around Europe for several months at a time, but Hawaii is a place I have always imagined calling home. I am all about outdoor activities (biking, hiking, water sports), trying new cuisines, traveling on and with as little as possible, and endless wandering in unknown lands. Let's meet up for a drink, hike or picnic. Or all the above!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couchsurfed several times, but it was always on my best friend/travel companion's account. I hope to one day have a place where I can accept couchsurfers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a great variety of music, but reggae will always find it's way in my ears. I don't want movies often, however, I could watch Friends and the Office any day! As for books, I love reading about other travelers such as Cheryl Strayed ("Wild") and Bill Bryson ("A Walk in the Woods"). I'm learning to appreciate fiction again as long as there is something to learn from it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've scuba dived in Malta, was a volunteer in a live sex show in Amsterdam (kept my clothes on, but things got intimate), lived with a spiritual healer in Ireland, and trekked with camels through the Moroccan desert.
