About Me

I had the best time of my life travelling Europe and Australia on a gap year after high school! Viet Nam was also absolutely amazing and I can't wait to travel more of Asia!

I am now studying Knowledge Integration at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. Knowledge Integration (or KI) is always hard to explain as Waterloo is the only school in the world to offer it. It is similar to ArtSci, but with more of a focus on making a practical impact on the world with all of those random courses I may be taking. I am also working on two minors, one in physics and the other in math. I am loving KI so far and am excited to see where it takes me!

I am a positive girl who loves drinking wine and nights in chatting with friends but also has a great time going out.

I think the most important way to learn is by experience, not through a text book. I love meeting people from all over the world for that reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love learning about people's lifestyles and cultures! I think it's amazing the things you can learn from other people.

When couch-surfing in Europe, I made some amazing friends and am constantly thankful for the times I had with them. I think this is the best way to travel and experience (not just see) the world.

I'm super excited to be able to host couch surfers in the summer of 2018!! :D

Interests

I like exploring new places, being outdoors, swimming, hiking, playing games, cooking, live music, beaches, cool coffee shops and bars, indie and/or vegan cafes, crafts, drawing, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most music genres, from country to alternative rock to indie to jazz. I love science fiction, romantic comedy, and Disney/animated movies, but am always open to movies with new concepts. I like reading romance and science fiction novels. I have read all of the Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R.R. Martin and am keeping up with the tv show. As for tv shows, I'm all over the place with shows like Gilmore Girls and Attack on Titan but I generally watch more movies than tv shows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dialog im Dunkeln in Vienna, experiencing everyday things as a blind person would. That was a very eye opening experience and I'm so glad I've done it!

WWOOFing in the mountains in France, disconnected from the rest of the world, living a simple, but satisfying life.

WWOOFing in Italy, best idea ever! I love the fresh garden fruits and vegetables!

Sitting on a bridge in Budapest watching the sunset and the lights come on while sharing a bottle of wine with an amazing couch-surfing host.

Snorkelling the great barrier reef and skydiving over it in Australia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a few fun card games! I love cooking together! Wine and relaxation, or adventure, whatever your heart calls for.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my positive and easy-going attitude and open mind. I am also super clean!
