About Me

Born and raised in Oregon, I ventured off to Northern California to explore the Redwoods and what it means to be human. From there I moved to Northern Cheyenne country to learn from them how to survive and to thrive. And now I'm on to new adventures. My life aspiration is to empower the marginalized and oppressed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Volunteer/non-profit life doesn't leave you with much extra cash. Also I absolutely love meeting new people, exploring new places and embracing different! And couch surfing allows for one to really get a feel for a place, because you've met a local excited about showing it to you.

Interests

People, religion, why we do the things that we do.
Books. Movies.
Roller derby. I've never played but it's by far my favorite sport.
Collecting little things.
I've recently taken up staff juggling.
I also play the Cello.

Music, Movies, and Books

At heart I'm really a classic rock girl. Favorites extend to Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop, the Cranberries, and Tom Waits.

I love movies, a lot. American Beauty, Harold and Maude, anything by Terry Gillium 'cause it's weird. I also really love sci-fi action.

I have a thing or non fiction and poetry. Anything that helps me see the world from a new perspective.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went paragliding in the sacred valley in Peru. And hiked up the stairs to Machu Picchu. Also I had the opportunity to dance at a powwow and get laughed at by a bunch of Cheyennes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've lived in community style living for most of my life. I think it's so important to recognize that there is no one way to see the world. Truth is subjective.

What I Can Share with Hosts

my experiences and my passions. An open mind to all sorts of new things.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Switzerland
