About Me
Hi I'm a young professional living in Rome, NY.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My partner got me into couch surfing a couple years ago and after having a couple wonderful experiences I thought I should finally make a profile.
Interests
I started dancing in college with competitive ballroom and then I started dancing all sorts of styles. My favorites are Argentine Tango, Swing and Salsa. I enjoy going to lessons, small and big dances when covid safe.
My undergraduate and graduate studies were at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY from 2012-2020. I studied scientific imaging, printing, color science and media literacy. I can nerd out about those topics for days lol.
Three times a week I train in mixed martial arts with some of my coworkers; it's a lot of fun.
I'm a strict vegetarian. I also do not eat sugar, flour, caffeine or alcohol. I do keep some in the house for guests though. Because of my dietary restriction, I don't eat at restaurants or feel comfortable with others cooking for me at this time. I enjoy cooking for others though.
I also use a composting service called the Green Bucket Project for my food waste. I subscribe to Common Thread CSA and Off the Muck for groceries. My favorite grocery store in Rome is Brenda's Natural Foods followed by Aldi's.
I often go to yoga several times a week and can informally lead a yoga session. I'm not a certified instructor though.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like eclectic music from opera to hip hop. I tend to listen to folk rock and alternative rock a lot though.
I am not a huge movie watcher but I like comedy tv, reality shows, and British comedy.
I like books more than I have a chance to read though lately.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can lead a yoga session, make a big salad with homemade dressing, dance a little, talk your ear off about media Literacy, photography, printing or how color works or show you around the area.
