Overview
About Me
I like to believe that I'll try anything once: new food, new games, new anything.
I work in marketing and PR for an English Immersion company, Angloville. It's a great way to meet new people, and (sometimes) travel nearby countries.
In terms of sports, I'd rather play than watch, but I'm not particularly athletic. My favourite sports are tennis and swimming, and one of my life goals is to watch a match at Wimbledon, and the French, US, and Australian Opens. Like a good Canadian, I love to skate, ski, and play hockey. I know almost nothing about soccer/football.
Interests
Things I love: British crime dramas and cooking. I'd rather read a book than watch a movie, but that doesn't mean that I never watch films/TV either. BBC's Sherlock is my current obsession, but I grew up a Potterhead and can hold my own in Trivial Pursuit.
When hanging out, I'd rather do something interactive, like playing a board game, cards, or talking. But I'm a pretty chill person, a good mix of introvert and extrovert. I love hanging out with people, but I can also entertain myself when left alone.
I love cooking, and I'm definitely willing to cook for a host as a token of gratitude! There aren't many classic Canadian dishes, so I usually wind up making French food. Navigating foreign grocery stores is one of my favourite parts of travelling; it reveals lots of interesting things about the people and their way of living.
I'm also a history buff, so I often visit museums and castles in order to learn more about the local culture. I prefer early mornings to late nights, but I suffer from a serious case of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), so I often wind up staying up 'till 3:00am just to hang out with people.

Martin Walker's Bruno series

Music:
I'm pretty flexible when it comes to music. I love everything from classical to rap. I play the flute, and studied it privately (mostly classical) for 10 years, in addition to various ensembles throughout the years: jazz band, concert band, my university ensemble, provincial honour band. My only reservation is downloading music. I don't download much music just for fun, so most of my collection is French/Quebec music to improve my language skills. Any music you choose, I'll like.
I go to symphonies more often than concerts, partly because I like dressing up, and partly because it's less expensive.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Couch Skiing: once, when I was a teenager, some friends and I nailed to pairs of skis to a couch and took it down the (small) local ski slope. It was SO MUCH FUN! And also very scary! Because the couch is heavy, it goes very fast. We also has to push the couch back up the hill, in order to do it again ;)
