About Me

Hey! I'm Emily, just turned 26 and was thinking; omg. time flies and I've still didn't do all the things I was planning to do before my 25's birthday! So, now I can't loose any precious time anymore and really want to undergo a lot of awesome adventurous experiences! And that's why I'm signed up for this website. Oke so, about me?

My friends would describe me as spontaneous, a little bit weird (but I hope thats a good thing for some), generous, sweet, open-minded, social, nerdy, virtuous and a sporty girl. I would like to add that I really love to play the piano, guitar and sing. I played/singed since I was 2 years old. Love to dance/party, love cats, science, psychology, philosophy , cruising on skateboard, run/be active but also love to watch Netflix as a couch potato.
I always been in a relationship and still are but really want to experience some solo independent traveling on my own! Never had that experience, so I'm a little bit nervous about it, but I feel like I have some fire burning in my heart that says that I really need to do such things! Further, I'm still (again) a student of applied psychology. Did a lot of switches of study. I also have studied pop music for one year. I recently quitted my part-time job to fully focus on school and eventually some traveling ! ;D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I'm a little bit grew out of my own country, but at the same time still need to finish my study here I decided to do some of my study times while I'm going on a trip! Not sure yet if it's a really good idea for my scores ratings for my exams, but yeah let's just try this! So... I was thinking about taking a two week trip to London and than fly to another country (don't know which one yet) to do some study there, but being in a great place at the same time. But for the weekends I really want to go on some adventure and/or meet some awesome people! Someone showed me this website! I haven't had any experience with couch-surfing, but everyone needs to start somewhere right? :D

ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND EVERYBODY SHOULD LISTEN: Mutemath

Music genres: Alternative rock, instrumental post-rock, progressive metal, chill-hop, d&b, future/synth-pop, dream pop, but I also can appreciate some hip-hop and r&b, soul/funk, classical, edm. Oke, in short terms, I like and listen to everything that is good music haha.

Books: Informative books about science subjects and the science of psychology. I also like fantasy books, but never have the patience to read until the end of these thick books...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lets say I'd had some amazing music-festival experiences.
But I also had some really warm and nice experiences while I was attending church back in the days, where I was volunteering in making music and things like cooking meals for the poor people. I loved the warm and cosy community I was in. And in study my best experiences were while attending conservatorium pop music school! But I think I really need some new awesome experiences in other countries because I haven't travelled that much !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can learn you some Dutch language, how to skateboard, how to sing, make a nice meal, play piano or play guitar. And since I'm studying applied psychology I'm a really good listener. So if you have a problem with something, maybe I can help you through some discovering processes where we can look for some bigger pictures to have a clearer mind!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some laughter and some nice chats with you! I don't now if my English level is understandable enough to share all my thoughts, but I think it will come automatically when I'm gonna travel on my own and just have conversations with people! Further I can make some music for you if you have some instrument. I'm a nice person to go out with, because I'm in for all kinds of stuff! Oke, maybe not all kinds of stuff... but let's say a lot! We can go sport together, go to the museum together, go dancing, go to a concert, go to a random rollerskatedisco I don't know. Or go shopping together yeah! Omg and last but not least. FOOD. I love food. and I love to cook for people! And also have a really great love for Japanese culture and on the spot. the Japanese food! so we can go eat sushi together hehe.
