Overview
About Me
After 14 years of being in education I reckon it's time to get out and see the world! I'm really interested in finding out about other cultures and seeing all corners of the world, and I'm also a keen linguist.
I play 2 musical instruments- piano and saxophone. Next year I'm hoping to go to uni to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It seems a great way to meet local people, and so get a more authentic experience of a place I'm visiting. I'm about to embark on my gap year, which I plan on doing solo so I'm hoping it will help me meet people along the way and make it a less lonesome experience!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love most genres of music and bands from The Killers to Billy Joel to Taylor Swift to The Shins.
I love action movies and comedies such as those of Guy Ritchie (Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels in particular) or Tarantino. If I had to watch only one movie for the rest of my life I'd probably pick Hot Fuzz. I also love Disney- Lilo and Stitch is my favourite.
Book-wise, I used to read a lot but school kind of ate that hobby! I loved One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, City of Thieves, The Virgin Suicides and many more. The Harry Potter Series is definitely worth a mention as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would hope to provide some entertainment and good conversation! I pull my weight and dabble in the culinary arts so can also share some delicious English cuisine.
