About Me

I'm 22 Years old and ever since I was about 11 I've been volunteering at a local Elementary school. To me it's always been important to give back and to help others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined because I need to step out of my comfort zone, and I want to meet new people. There's so much the world can teach us, if only we will listen. Though I am new to traveling, this is one of my inspirations behind actually getting out there and seeing the world. There are so many different people out there and each one has their own story to tell. I want to listen to those stories, to really hear them.

Interests

I love learning about different culture, languages, accents, and dialects. I enjoy hearing about people and the lives they've lived. I like to watch people play video game but love to play board/card/puzzle games(especially 3D Puzzles). Win or lose it's always fun. I've always really enjoyed art and the world of imagination. Currently I'm trying to figure out how to pair that with my one true love Linguistics (the study of language).

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite song is "I'm Already There" by Lonestar, it is a country song but I do listen to and enjoy all kinds of music.

"Taken" or "The Man From Nowhere" I would have to say is my favorite movie.
Other movies: Howl's Moving Castle, a lot of Lifetime movies, The Librarian, Alice in Wonderland (both animated and not)

Hands down "Demon in My View" by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is my favorite book as well as my favorite Author.
Other books: Cookbooks, 13 to Life, Of Poseidon, The Goddess Hunt

Tv shows, it's a tie between "Leverage" and "The Librarians"
Other Tv Shows: Undateable, The Big Bang Theory, New Girl, Scorpion

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Street Painting at SparkCon. It's a convention that happens once a year in September that has a whole variety of different "Sparks" as they call it. Some of the Sparks include ArtSpark, SkateSpark, CircusSpark, DanceSpark, PoetrySpark, GeekSpark, and many more. It all takes place on or along Fayetteville St, which the city of Raleigh blocks off for the weekend. Street painting is apart of ArtSpark. When I checked in with my friends we were given an ArtSpark T-shirt to keep and two things of Chalk to work with. It rained a lot that weekend but it was so much fun trying to work between the downpours, racing to cover up our square when it did rain, and trying fix anything the rain did mess up. Not mention getting to see and participate in the other sparks as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make cookies and Hoddeok(a type of sweet pancake).
