About Me

I have just logged into CS after 3 years of no travel...!

The last time I used CS was in Australia, when I was a baby backpacker! I spent a lot of time living in hostels but when I arrived in each city I valued the time to stay with some locals so that I could understand the way of life.

***I am travelling on a group package to South America in November and will be in Santiago, Chile, from 24-26 November. I cannot help but feel like the piece of the puzzle missing from this trip is staying with a local - otherwise I will just be in hotels and hostels!

Other planned trips include: New York/Toronto/CA in early 2023***

I am now in the wonderful position where I have my own place which I can share too. I am very used to sharing my space as I have a housemate and I regularly host students too. I love meeting new cultures and having company around.
Photos are coming soon but it is a very sweet 3 bed terrace house.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favourite thing about travelling is meeting people - people who are linked-minded to myself but who many also have polar interests. Learning about their upbringings, lives and cultures helps me to understand different perspectives to life and become a better listener and communicator.

I have always said travel has been the biggest life lesson to me as it made me more open-minded and I want to keep on learning, whether I can go to you or you come to me.

With Couchsurfing I can now add podcasts, dumpster diving and thriller-comedies to my list of things I now love!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing Turkmenistan, a country which doesn’t grant tourist visas yet is simply stunning.

Can teach English language and share my knowledge English history as I come from the 1066 country where the famous Battle of Hastings was fought.

I make amazing hot chocolate.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stereotypical English humour and living like a local - sea swimming all year round, the Great British pub.

I also work for an amazing hot chocolate company who make their drinks with real chocolate flakes so I can share that with you. Did I mention that?!
