About Me
Hi! I'm Emily, a high school math teacher who loves to travel. I've lived in Colorado for 19 years and I love all of the things that come with it, from hiking to camping to snowboarding. If it involves cold weather, snow, and/or mountains, I'm in. At home station, I love cooking, playing the piano, working out, teaching and learning Zumba, country line dancing, serving food/beverages, and exploring craft beer. If you ever find yourself in the Denver area, let me know and I'll make you a nice cocktail and we can do some Zumba together!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is really the only way to meet people and get the full experience of your travels to a different country. In my short time couchsurfing, I've learned more than I could have imagined about the countries I've stayed in, just from interacting with the people who live there. From sharing food, to culture, to language, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Music, Movies, and Books
From country to electronic to acoustic, I'm open to almost all genres. Music fuels my life and I'm almost never without it, inside my head or out. As books and movies go, I love mystery and psychological thrillers, so let me know if you ever need a recommendation!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have to say that riding a zodiac (inflatable) boat through the Jökulsarlón Glacier Lagoon in Iceland was definitely the coolest thing I've EVER done! If you get the chance to go to Iceland, definitely do the tour. It's worth every penny!
Teach, Learn, Share
Photography, music, food, language, technology, history, nature, and science. These are among the many things that we can teach each other, whether between or within countries. As a teacher, I'm a firm believer in lifelong learning, whether you have an education or not. It seems like such a waste to go through this life without learning as much as possible about how the world works!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Zumba! While the countries I visit and the places I stay are all unique in their own ways, Zumba is an international art and can be found almost anywhere you go. All I need is my speaker and my music, so join me and we can have a DANCE PARTY!
