This is Emily, I was born in Taipei. Having passion about all kinds of languages and cultures, I became a study tour counselor after my job as a graphic designer for four years.
I like to observing all the tiny things in the world, I enjoy good company, different people and how other people see the same things as I do.
Every stranger is a book, is a story, when you share your thoughts with others, it could be boring, but what if it became an amazing idea? :)

你好我是Emily. 土生土長台北人， 很喜歡觀察各地文化的不同。對我而言最好的風景除了大自然的鬼斧神工，其實是人與人之間的互動，文化，生活習慣。
我很喜歡語言，因為每種語言都是一扇門通往不同的文化。
我在中國大陸住過六年，瞬間打破了[島國思想]，清楚知道世界其實很大超級大，學習去對其他人的文化背景更好奇，學習對人更好奇，更包容。
我不太怕生，但是媽媽教的不錯所以有禮貌，沒有潔癖但是也不是太邋遢的人(至少在別人家因為愛面子所以算是整潔的人)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this could be a whole new different way to see the world, to see other people.
I would like to see what will happened and who will I meet, I would like to know a new friend in a different place. I would like to know about a new place from a local, not a tour guide book. The most important thing is that I think this can be a way to opened up my mind, becoming a more open person, open to the world, knowing what's going on but having trust on the good side of everything.

因為我認為這是打開我的眼界一個很好的方法，我想從當地居民的口中認識這個我沒有來過或是不熟悉的地方，不是只有一本本的 [必去 / 攻略] 不是說那些不好， 但是我想知道當地居民的想法。 就像有很多時候旅遊書上寫的台北的東西我不見得知道不見得喜歡。

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped many strangers with finding their directions,
I help two Japanese tourist to find Taipei 101, how to get there, show them where's the best photo spot, show them what are the stores I recommend on their map, which are the ones I don't highly recommend.
I impress a school in Canada with my passion enough that they ask me to work for them while having sales meeting with them.

我常常幫助找不到路的陌生人，打開google map 或是幫他們打電話到店家確認對方有開門。曾經在捷運上遇到兩位日本觀光客，帶他們走到101, 告訴他們哪邊能夠拍出最好的照片。
我曾經在跟加拿大的一個學校開銷售會議的時候用我的熱忱打動他們，甚至問我願不願意成為他們的agent。

We host Future Shorts Film Festivals every season. (well, we try to do that every season...)
I have many friends all around the world, so I might be able to tell you a little more about how to make your Mandarin sounds more local when you know nothing about this language, I know a little Japanese (around 5 yr old child level) but I've bee told my pronunciation is pretty good.

1. One skin care class for you, what kind of product might be helpful for you, what is a better way to take care of your skin.
2. I can teach you a simple way to put on a everyday make up, teach you how to put on eyeliner, perfect lips.
3. I can offer you a class to make the pronunciation of your Mandarin / Chinese better.
4. For Taiwanese: I can analyze what should you prepare if you would like to take a study tour in general for free.
(If you need those class above, pls tell me in advance so I can have time to prepare)
