Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i joined couchsurfing in 2008 and my first experience staying with someone was for a week in Belém, Brazil during the World Social Forum. I was 19, alone, wide-eyed, and the experience of knocking on a strangers' door with a knot in my stomach, followed by staying up all night with her friends playing music, telling stories, dancing, laughing, feeling liberated from that strangeness .. it completely changed my life and it made me really believe in power of humanity. 10 years later i'm a little more cynical about the world, but have never stopped believing that people are inherently good, and every experience is what you make of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled through South America for almost a year and my days and weeks were perpetually made better by the bizzare and beautiful cs encounters.

Interests

taking your photo, dancing, chilean boxed wine, people power, writing about it, making bond fires and watching them die, reading poetry on the tops of mountains, book trades, louis ck, biking in the winter, truth
