ABOUT ME

I am a restaurant manager and yoga instructor. The beauty of these two professions is that techinically you can pick up and go anywhere and be successful. I am a very positive person which I attribute to practicing yoga for 5 years. I love travelling, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures.

I have lived in Phoenix for almost seven years. I love spending time outdoors when weather permits. I also enjoy taking day trips to places like Sedona and Jerome. I love to eat out and visit art & history museums.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is ever evolving based on experience and people that come into and out of my life that impact my vision of the world. I am a believer that the energy (positvie, negative, or indifferent) that one exerts will be drawn back to you. There are many things we cannot control in this world, but the way we present ourselves and the attitude towards others is totally in our control to dictate. Love your life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to take part in local couch surfing events no matter where I find myself in the world. I had a brilliant time in Bonn, Germany taking part in a vegan brunch that offered an eclectic musical performance.

I utilize couch surfing quite a bit while traveling, so when I am home I like to return the favor by providing accomodation for like minded travelers.

I spend my time with friends enjoying the fine things in life, food, wine & good company. I enjoy cooking and entertaining. I love outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, camping, bicycling and motorcycling. I am very health conscious. I find myself working out for at least an hour a day. I am fascinated by art and culture, and can find myself lost in a museum for hours. I love going to concerts and festivals.

I am the type of person that will try anything once. I find myself saying "why not" alot. It just reminds me that we are all given one life to live and to make the most of every opportunity and experience.

I love movies on war and historical events that have shaped the world we live in. I am always game for a comedy or a good chic flick as well.

For music, I gravitate to bands like Maroon 5, Green Day, Mummford & Sons, The Fray, The Script, etc. I grew up in Iowa, so once and a while a good country song fits the bill.

I bury my nose in historical books. Recently, I was captivated by research on the Lusitania. Just like movies, I am drawn to military or historical books. Once in a while I will pick up a motivational or self help book.
