About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To do a reccy of the European coastline and surrounding areas between Alicante, Spain and Genoa, Italy to find a base (I need to grow things) and new business / work opportunities.
ABOUT ME
In short: I'm alright!
I would probably describe myself differently to how my friends would describe me. I am the most sane individual I know whereas my friends would probably say the opposite! My brother says I am like trying to pin water to a wall (!) but I do think that genuinely I am liked for my free spiritedness and love of life, I can't get enough of it! I am many things in one and some are in total extreme from being very quiet to quite boisterous and animated. I keep myself amused and some people even think I'm funny...generally I am just trying to be a good person and aim to do things the right way round (as far I see it!) and have a love of all things right in the world and a tendency to stand up to those I believe are not. I am honest and possibly some times too much so but at least there's never any confusion and I don't get into too much trouble. All people are seen as friends as yet unknown!
PHILOSOPHY
I tend to think we only have 1 life and so you should go out and grab it with both hands, not necessarily in the way we are taught to. I have very little material wealth and status for my birth country and age however my father has told me I have already lived 10 lifetimes and the next one is always still exciting to look forward to...a new one is beginning...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To find local people in areas I'm interested in to learn about being a local! To enjoy time with people who also like to enjoy their time. To meet interesting people.
Interests
Diving, environmental science (and oceanography), underwater video, botany, learning Muay Chaiya, rock climbing (granite though I'm afraid not big on limestone!!), riding my very old and very pretty Honda 50, getting up really early whilst the world is quiet, having a fair few beers when I thought I just wanted one, BS meaningless conversation, having a laugh and generally genuinely attempting to enjoy all the small wonderful things that life offers....I still like to look at the world with the eyes of a child and just because I'm a scientist doesn't mean that I don't believe there are fairies at the bottom of my garden!!

Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn and I like to be able to remember a day by what I did so love new experiences.
Not sure what I can teach?! (Although by rights I am very good at teaching diving and particularly nervous individuals).
Sharing - ideas, experiences, good chat, dancing partner, walking companion, dive buddy, cooking, early morning adventures (see 'I love to learn...)
