About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A close friend and I are going to Rio from December 26 through January 7th! We're interested in finding a place or places to stay. I may also be interested in going to Rosario, Argentina and other South American cities in early 2013.
ABOUT ME
Fledgling writer. Experienced life enthusiast. I thrive around people and love making conversation. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the world. I'm a fan of seeing other cultures' music, art, nature, cities, and foods. I spent the past four years getting my Bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy and managing a movie theater. I couldn't be happier with that, but am now excited to begin a new career and new adventures!
PHILOSOPHY
Examine everything but never despair. Practice love and gratitude at every opportunity. Your life is yours to create.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Working toward being able to provide you with a couch someday! I am an advanced student of English, and I would love to help you with any English language projects. I would enjoy playing music with you. I play viola and hand bells, but am happy to jam on hand drums or anything else!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Classic British rock, some pop and rap music, current Icelandic rock music, house dance music, musicals and Bollywood.
Movies: Stanley Kubrick! I love watching all movies. My favorite movie is American Beauty.
Books: The Giver, The Picture of Dorian Grey, Cat's Cradle, White Teeth, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, John Keats poetry, Pablo Neruda poetry, Jules Verne books, Virginia Woolf books, "beat" movement books, and hundreds more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to India in 2010, and through friends, my father and I were invited to spend two days in a Tibetan settlement near Banagalore (I'll post the name as soon as I find it!) We were treated to phenomenal hospitality, an exuberant and unique community, and an unforgettable picnic dinner with some Tibetan government officials and friends. The next day, we were given a private tour of the monastery. It was an opportunity that changed our lives.
