I live and work in Seattle, Washington where I am originally from. I went to college in Boston, studied in the Netherlands, volunteered in Namibia and have travelled the world. Right now, I work as the Outreach Director for a non-profit focused on gun responsibility and gun violence reduction in Washington state. I am someone who lives two lives- my high octane, career focused life where I wake up at 6 am to get my workout in before starting my day and my low key, quiet life where I spend 5 hours in bed with a book after yoga. I have two cats named Mooshi and Hamlet and they are incredible little beings! Hamlet has dual citizenship- Namibian and American- as he was born on a farm in the Kalahari where I lived.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have used couchsurfing in the past a bit. Mostly international. Haven't been able to host due to my roving lifestyle and intense work life unfortunately. I love the opportunity this little app offers for cross cultural engagement. I love welcoming people from other cultures into my home and hope to host more in the future.

Interests

I teach and practice yoga, run half marathons pretty regularly and love to get outside. I'm addicted to travel and am always looking for my next cheap flight out of the country. I love politics and discussing social/political issues and theory.
