About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ken Kesey-style road trip down to New Orleans and back!

ABOUT ME

I love my friends, my family, my cat and going on adventures. I am deeply committed to social justice initiatives, but I think it's very important to never take yourself too seriously and to always have a sense of humor. I love meeting new people and experiencing new things and always try to maintain a sense of wonder about the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Find beauty and wonder in all moments.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but looking forward to it!

Interests

I love yoga and eastern philosophies, and also plan to get back into karate when I move back home for my new job in a couple months. I write poetry occasionally, but I read and listen to much more than I write.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie of all time is Donnie Darko.

My favorite books of all time are the Harry Potter books, I've read them more times than I can count and I feel like the characters are childhood friends.

I also love everything by Francesca Lia Block, she has a way of writing that makes the world we live in seem like a magical place.

I love Bukowski's poems, and everything by the beat generation. I also love e.e. cummings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last June I traveled to Chiapas for a study abroad program and stayed in a Zapatista cultural center for several weeks. It was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really good at knitting and am happy to teach and knit with people! Knitting is a great way to bond. I have also been learning a lot about Ashtanga Yoga and love practicing with other people.
