Hi, I'm Emily! I'm a 25-year-old American who has been traveling the world for the past four years. I'm a restless wanderer, poet, creative spirit, English teacher, and adventurer, who is always willing to travel to a new country and make great friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was a couchsurfing host in Berlin from 2010-11. Now that I've finished two years of teaching English in Korea, I've packed my backpack and have been traveling abroad since September.

Interests

I love traveling -- I've been traveling and living abroad since I was twenty years old, and I'm always excited to experience new adventures in my life. I also like photography, bike riding, poetry, playing the ukulele and long aimless walks.

I immerse myself in anything written by Abigail Thomas, Ernest Hemingway, Jean Valentine, John Steinbeck, Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami, and almost all other books that cross my path.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the Philippines I learned how to scuba dive in one hour and then went out into the ocean. Crazy but a beautiful experience!
