ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, outgoing introvert who loves to dance and meet new people! I came to Europe to do a field school in Italy for my university program, but I am traveling alone afterwards to soak up what experiences I can.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in examining the impact we have upon one another, and in doing so, I try to make positive impacts on those and the world around me as best I can. I treasure feeling grounded and at peace with myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first experience traveling abroad, so I sincerely hope that being respectful and aware will help guide my in my first foray into the couchsurfing community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like good music (of all genres and eras, especially indie, classical, and electropop), and having impromptu dance parties in the kitchen. My favourite films are Amelie, Benny & Joon, and Moulin Rouge. I read a lot, but I've recently fallen in love with Catherynne Valente's novel based off of Russian folk tales, "Deathless". I've started to read more poetry, especially as I get further into my degree.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have sailed around the Gulf Islands and Desolation Sound (in British Columbia, Canada) on a 27' Grampion (small sailboat). Bathing in Cassel Falls, with the water's weighty cacophony tumbling around my shoulders, that was one amazing thing I have done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach basic salsa dancing (lead and follow), as well as very basic swing follows. I would love to learn any kind of dancing. In addition, I'm getting into photography, and would love to learn more about photography as I am a beginner.
