ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, but have spent the last several years moving around the Country/world at a bit of an alarming pace. My motivating interests range from language and culture, to plant taxonomy, resulting in a motley patchwork of opportunity and experience. I'm currently based in Madrid on a Fulbright teaching grant, and working part time at the Royal Botanic Garden.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, traveling and sight-seeing are very different activities. I am on Couchsurfing because I like the one, but not the other.

Botany, backpacking, thru-hiking, plants, gardening, farming, biking, cooking, eating, music, ecstatic dance, latin dance, learning new things, being excited, talking to people who are excited about something, old friends, new friends, teaching, living in new places, visiting old places etc
