About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoying my new home in the mysterious northwest
ABOUT ME
I had been living in the Michigan for a few years. Then due to a job, I moved to the Northwest back in October of '08. I couch surfed, at a great house of folks, for three weeks in Bellingham while getting acclimated to my new surroundings. I had a great experience! I even gardened for a season in that house's backyard.
I would be excited to offer to someone the same hospitality I received when I first moved to town.
Along with other random jobs over the last few years, I have mostly worked at the Ann Arbor People's Food Co-op, and a couple of different farms. I am committed to the idea of providing healthy food and resources to a community, while supporting the local economy and producers.
I can be shy at times, but generally get excited to meet new people. I don't like to simply scrape the surface of a community, I enjoy meeting the people who make up a place.
PHILOSOPHY
Although I can't solve all the world ills, try to make the corners of the world I inhabit healthier in some way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am still fairly new to this website, but I think its a great idea. Look forward to finding out more.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed when I first moved to town. I had a great experience! They were all welcoming and introduced me to whole community of people. I don't know what I would have done without them. I think they would all agree I was a courteous, helpful, clean guest
Before that I had only couch surfed on friends' couches.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are so many books I have loved! but a few that pop in my head: Unsettling of America, Goodbye Chunky Rice, The Kid, Two Babushkas, Second Nature, Whinnie-the-Pooh, The Curious Incident of the Dog at Nighttime.
My musical taste ranges a lot, and isn't too consistant.
Teach, Learn, Share
After working in organizations that are consistently under funded, I found amazing ways to solve problems with the use of zip ties and packaging tape (and other such simple tools). I could teach those working for non-profits these important skills.
