ABOUT ME

My favorite color is green. I'm doing my final research project comparing and contrasting the living qualities of somali immigrants in both Minnesota and Sweden. I really enjoy the Swedish language and culture. I have lived with my grandmother for a year in which she taught me many a life lesson be it blatantly or inadvertently. My feet itch to see the world. Every time I read something about this place or see a picture of that, I want to go and experience it for myself. I want to be an adventurer, a go-getter, an active in-the-moment do-gooder, but sometimes I get hung up. This is why I need to learn to 'be'.

PHILOSOPHY

When I'm old and haggard sitting on my front porch, I want to be full of stories of long lost places and inspire those around me to put their feet to the unbeaten trail, just as I was inspired as a child.

Well, I'm a novice to be perfectly honest. I see it as a great opportunity to bring back the dying art of communication. Why I get home from my study abroad, I plan on hosting myself.

Set out on a hike with five acquaintances, forged our own trail up a mountain and came back friends.
