About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world while I still can
ABOUT ME
HI! I'm Emily and I'm 18 years old about to enter the college life. Along with continuing my education, I would love to see the world in the least costly ways. I haven't traveled that much, really, my parents like to stay put. I've been to Spain, Canada, and different parts of the U.S. such as Chicago, Virginia Beach, Washington D.C., etc.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to make people happy. I like to have an understanding for everything, and figure out why something is the way it is. I think that you can be happy if you want to be, and that you make your happiness. So if you want to be happy, go ahead and do it already!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In high school I was able to participate in an exchange program, and it has taught me that the best way to learn about a culture is to learn it through the people. Yeah, seeing different monuments and visiting different museums and cathedrals gives you some kind of idea of a place, but not as much as living with a family and eating their food, speaking their language, experiencing their night life, etc.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't have any CS experience yet, but I know first hand how great of an experience living with someone is. It's so much better than staying in a hotel because you can see how that person lives.
Interests
I like music, singing, dancing, theater. I go to the gym (sometimes), and like to do a lot of arts and crafts.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy any kind of movie from sappy love stories like The Notebook to action movies such as Taken. Anything with good acting, really.
Music! I like pretty much anything but country music, heavy metal, and really bad rap. EDM is my all-time favorite, though.
I don't read that often, but when I do it has to be something that will catch my attention. I like Stephen King a lot, along with Dan Brown and other science-fiction novelists.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most amazing thing I've done is the Spanish Exchange program at my school. I've made so many wonderful friends in Spain while increasing my knowledge for the language, culture, and people. I love everything that the world has to offer and it has really opened my eyes to see more opportunities out there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn how to take more chances. But, I can teach people to make the best of their experiences. Take pictures, meet new people, smile a lot. I am more than willing to share my knowledge of happiness, joy, experience, and much more to people. I am willing to be open to try new foods, meet new people, learn a new language.
