Why are wizards usually depicted as wearing blue robes and tall pointy hats? Who invented the chain-link fence? Can I climb this tree? Why are some people bad at spelling?

I really like learning. My roommate once asked me "are you seriously reading the wikipedia page for snacks right now?" (What!? I wanted to know what differentiates a snack from a full meal.)
