I have a tendency to ramble about biology and anthropology and travel. Sharing food and drinks in good company is one of my favorite things. Walking on the beach at odd hours and spending excessively long amounts of time in coffee shops are up there too.

I'm currently really loving the books "Cloud Atlas," "Oryx and Crake," and "The Invention of Nature: Alexander von Humboldt's New World."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In order to raise environmental awareness about plastic waste, I once convinced 106 volunteers *at 4:30am* to help fill a fountain on the campus of UCF with 250,000 plastic water bottles. (Of course we cleaned it up afterwards, silly.)
