Overview
About Me
I'm a creative person with a drive for seeing new things and having my mind and heart expanded. I like traveling where I can see new everyday things--like tiles of all kinds in Portugal, or the range of ways folks dry their laundry everywhere. I love small museums, galleries, pathways with secret gardens and street art, cafes with people watching views and art supply stores (!).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think connection is the most important part of being alive, which means of course it's the most important part of work, play, family, friends, and traveling. I've met some incredible people through hosting (a long time ago when I had a house and not a tiny apartment), through surfing (multi-lingual dinner parties in Delhi & rickshaw rides all over south asia) and also through meet-ups. Basically, I'm here to connect.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Italo Calvino, bell hooks, Eileen Myles, and Harry Potter (just books 4-7). I like serious things and then cheesy things (i.e. feminist art films AND back to the future)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was walking on a residential street in Kathmandu when the wind picked up and power went out. peoples' faces lost all definition and the only light was the glow of three cigarettes being smoked by the shadows of young men watching me walk by.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughter, a story, and a meal. After all, that's what we've been sharing for centuries, isn't it?
